History of “Galyiv Dairy Factory”

“Galyiv Dairy Factory” originated from dairying, which, consequently, was reorganized into dairy association. Construction of the factory ended in 1927. All equipment was delivered from Germany. Steam boiler, steam-engine, pumps, churn, separators, pasteurizer and milk cooler were installed there.

In 1928 the dairy factory passed into state property.

Raw materials bases for manufacture were in Yanushpol’s’kyi, Chudniv and Dzerzhins’ky districts. At that time the factory produced: butter, cheese, brynza, ice cream and casein.

From 1963 till 1970, the factory had been headed by professional production engineer on milk production Polishchuk V. Y. for the first time. During this period great attention was paid at mechanization and automation of production processes: new milk drying was installed and the factory switched to liquid fuel. The reconstruction of factory sections was completed gradually.

JSC “Galyiv Dairy Factory of V. F. Mazurkevych” was founded in December 1999, in accordance with general decision of regional department of state property of Ukraine in Zhytomir region and tenantry organization of Galyiv Dairy Factory of December, 20, #225/1 by reorganization of Galyiv Dairy Factory into Joint-Stock Company under the decree of the Ministry of Ukraine of May 20, 1993, #57-93 "About privatization of unified property complexes of state establishments and their rented structural subdivisions".
